Abstract:

This study aimed to investigate the effects of nano-iron and zinc chelate fertilizers applied by foliar spraying and fertilization methods along with organic fertilizer on the growth and anatomical properties of calotropis procera. This experiment, which was conducted in the city of Qadisiyah, Iraq in the spring of 2016-2017, used a randomized complete block design with factorial arrangement.

Key Findings:
-The application of double the recommended concentration of nano-iron (160 mg per 1 liter) resulted in the highest leaf area.
-Double concentrations of nano-zinc (160 mg per 1 liter) led to increased stem diameter and cortex thickness.
-Foliar application of nano fertilizers yielded the best results for stem diameter, leaf area, and vessel diameter in the vascular bundles.
-Organic fertilizer application positively affected most parameters except for leaf area and cortex thickness.
-Interactions between nano fertilizers and application methods significantly enhanced all studied parameters.
